About Me 简介

profile picture of Anny

I am a first year master student at University of Michigan pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering with an expected graduation date of May 2025. My passion lies in the realms of software development and machine learning, which has driven me to undertake various projects in these domains. Additionally, I have a penchant for numbers, exemplified by my personal feat of memorizing 200 digits of pi purely for enjoyment.

Projects 项目经历

Disease Classification Tool (Python)

In a simulated industrial project, I performed data preprocessing tasks including one-hot encoding and PCA feature reduction to prepare the dataset for model training. Using scikit-learn, pandas, and numpy libraries, I trained a range of supervised (Perceptron, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, K-Nearest Neighbors, Gradient Boosting, Neural Network) and unsupervised (K-means clustering) models. The best-performing models achieved exceptional accuracy, exceeding 90%, in predicting patient diagnoses based on symptom data.

AvoidAsteroid (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

I employed jQuery to develop an engaging asteroid game featuring dynamic gameplay elements. In the game, asteroids spawn randomly from various directions outside the board, while shields and portals appear at predetermined intervals, providing players with opportunities to level up. Additionally, I incorporated a user-friendly tutorial at the start of the game, and players can select their preferred difficulty levels, which directly impact the spawn rate of asteroids for a customized gaming experience.

GeoQuiz (Java, XML)

I developed a trivia application using Android Studio that enables users to respond to statements. The app allows users three 'cheat' opportunities and calculates the score at the end of each round of questions. Moreover, it features distinct user interfaces tailored for both portrait and landscape orientations of the phone, ensuring adaptability across various screen sizes.

Artist Search (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

I leveraged Vue.js to craft an artist search website, seamlessly fetching data from the iTunes API. The website empowers users to search for artists, apply category-based filters to the results, and even listen to music samples. Additionally, it provides a convenient feature to view all songs grouped by their collection names, enhancing the overall user experience.

Construct (Swift)

I developed this application using SwiftUI and Firebase, aiming to streamline communication between construction workers and their project managers. Our team recognized that they heavily relied on iMessages for all communication, which often led to confusion due to the volume of information. As a solution, we focused on serving smaller, local construction businesses, offering an application that consolidates project-related information, creating a centralized hub for employees, and enhancing project visibility.

Recipe Book (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

I employed a combination of Vanilla JS, jQuery, and Vue to develop a recipe website tailored for a local company. This website simplifies the process of publishing recipes and offers users the ability to filter recipes by categories and access detailed information for each recipe.

Drone Delivery (C++)

I implemented Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) and Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) algorithms, specifically utilizing the Nearest Insertion Heuristic approach, to compute the optimal path for a hypothetical drone trip. The solution is further optimized using Branch-and-Bound algorithms.
